Your files are stored only in this browser, on this device — in private browser storage (IndexedDB). Nothing is uploaded to us, to Google, or anywhere. No account required. No sync. Works offline.
Honest tradeoffs: Storage is per-device and per-browser — files are not synced across your devices. Clearing site data or browser storage will erase your locker, so keep originals elsewhere. Treat this as a private working locker, not a backup service. The browser controls how much space is available (typically several GB on desktop).

Get your data out of Google Drive

  1. Go to Google Takeout. Sign in with the Google account that owns your Drive.
  2. Click Deselect all, then check only Drive (and optionally Docs, Sheets, Slides if you want exports of Google-format files).
  3. Choose your export format — .zip works in any browser. Click Create export. Google emails you a download link within minutes.
  4. Download and extract the ZIP. You’ll have a folder of your real files (.pdf, .docx, .xlsx, images, etc.) plus Google-format conversions.
  5. Drag the extracted files straight into the drop zone above — they store here instantly, privately, no conversion needed.
Tip: Google Docs / Sheets / Slides have no native file format — Takeout exports them as .docx / .xlsx / .pptx automatically. You can open these with LibreOffice (free) or Microsoft Office. Your originals on Google Drive stay there until you delete them, so this is risk-free to try.
