How to install it

Copy the snippet above. The entire block — from the opening comment to the closing </div> tag.

Open your website editor. In WordPress use the Theme Editor or a Full-Site Editing block. In Wix/Squarespace use the "Custom Code" or "Embed Code" section in your site settings. In a plain HTML site, open your template file.

Paste before the closing </body> tag on every page you want the button to appear. Most site builders have a "site-wide footer code" field — paste it there once to get it on every page automatically.

Test it on your phone. Open your site on a real mobile device, tap the button, and confirm the SMS app opens pre-filled with 866-487-0497 and your keyword. Desktop browsers will open an SMS app if one is configured, or do nothing — that is expected behavior.

Check your AFD lead inbox. After a test text, log in at /dashboard/ to confirm the lead arrived. The keyword in your SMS routes the message to your account.

How the keyword routing works

The shared Boojee line (866-487-0497) handles SMS for all AI Front Desk customers. Your keyword is what tells the system which business a visitor's text belongs to.

Visitor taps the button
On a mobile device, the button opens the native SMS app with 866-487-0497 and your keyword pre-filled in the message body. The visitor types their question after the keyword and hits Send.
Keyword routes to your account
The AI Front Desk system reads the first word of every incoming text and matches it to a business account. Your keyword is unique to you — no other AFD customer uses it.
AI captures the lead
Your AI Front Desk replies automatically to capture lead details: name, what they need, best time to call. The whole exchange is SMS — no phone call, no live agent involved.
Lead lands in your inbox
You see the captured lead in your AFD dashboard at /dashboard/ — name, contact, job summary, timestamp. From there you follow up by phone or text when you're ready.
What this tool is not: The Text-Us button is a link to an SMS thread — it does not ring your phone, connect a live call, or give your business a dedicated phone number. It is also not a live chat widget: nothing happens in the browser when a visitor taps it. The entire interaction happens in the visitor's SMS app and on the Boojee shared line.
