Questions
Does the other person need an app to tap? +
No app needed. On iPhone, NFC tags trigger a native system notification at the top of the screen. On Android, a pop-up or browser opens automatically. Nothing to install on either end.
Can I change what the tag opens? +
Yes. All BOOJEE NFC tags are re-writeable. Download any free NFC writing app (NFC Tools for iOS, NFC TagWriter by NXP for Android), open the tag, write a new URL. Done in under 30 seconds.
What should I link the tag to? +
Most owners use their BOOJEE tap page at boojee.estate/tap/[yourname] — a pre-built mobile profile card. But you can link to anything: Airbnb listing, Google review, Linktree, personal site, tip link, booking calendar — any URL.
Does it work on all phones? +
Works on iPhone XS and newer (all recent iPhones). Works on all Android phones with NFC enabled (nearly all flagships since 2015). Older iPhone models require a dedicated reader app but we recommend the tap page is also a normal web link as backup.
Will it work through a phone case? +
Yes — NFC works through standard plastic and silicone cases up to about 3–4mm thick. Heavy-duty OtterBox-style cases may require direct contact. Metal cases block NFC entirely.
What's the return policy on NFC hardware? +
NFC hardware can be returned within 30 days if unopened, or exchanged within 30 days if defective. Programmed tags are non-returnable (data security). See the full policy at /shop/policy/.
