How this updates: Our
insider_watch.py scanner polls SEC EDGAR's public Form 4 feed, parses open-market purchases (transaction code "P") above $100k, and writes the results to signals_insider.json. This page reads that file. The scanner can be run on-demand or on a cron schedule. If the window shows no qualifying filings, the empty state is shown — no fabricated rows are ever added.
About This Insider Trades Tracker
What is SEC Form 4?
SEC Form 4 is a mandatory filing by corporate insiders (officers, directors, and 10%+ shareholders) reporting changes in their ownership of company stock within 2 business days of a transaction. It's public information filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
What counts as an "insider buy" here?
This tracker shows only open-market purchases — Form 4 transactions with code "P" (purchase) and acquired status "A". This excludes options exercises, grants, and other compensation-related transactions. Only purchases at market price where the insider spent their own money.
Why the $100,000 minimum?
The threshold filters routine small transactions to surface purchases large enough to represent a meaningful personal financial commitment. It's an arbitrary filter choice, not a predictive signal.
Does insider buying predict stock performance?
No — we make no such claim. Insiders buy for many reasons (personal financial goals, conviction, diversification rebalancing, etc.). Displaying this factual public data does not imply predictive value. Past results do not guarantee future performance.
