How do I get bids on my project?

Are contractors background-checked?
Yes. Every contractor on the platform has passed license verification, insurance certificate check, and state contractor registry lookup before they're allowed to bid. We re-verify annually and remove contractors with unresolved complaints. No anonymous bidders, no newly-created accounts landing jobs without a verified history.
What's the fee — for me and for the contractor?
Homeowners post for free. There's no cost to receive bids or use the platform. Contractors pay a 10% platform fee on the project value only when they win and complete a job — no subscriptions, no lead fees, no monthly charges. Boojee's cut comes from the contractor side at completion, not from you.
How is payment handled?
When you select a contractor and they start work, you fund the project into Boojee escrow. The contractor delivers. You review the work against the agreed scope. Once you approve, funds release to the contractor. Boojee takes its 10% fee at that point. If there's a dispute, Boojee mediates against the documented scope and start-of-project photos. Funds are never auto-released on a calendar date.
What if I'm not satisfied with the work?
Don't approve the release. Funds stay in escrow until you're satisfied. Raise a dispute through Boojee and we mediate against the agreed scope, timeline, and photos from project start. We do not pressure you to release funds, and we do not auto-release under any circumstances. Your approval is the only trigger.
What types of jobs can I post?
Any residential or commercial property work: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, painting, landscaping, flooring, carpentry, remodeling, masonry, pool service, pressure washing, general repair, and more.
